Moving between realistic watercolor
and contemporary, mixed-media paintings, Tregay finds that
each compliments and enriches the other. Houses and furnishings
that originated in traditional village scenes find themselves
listing, leaning and gossiping in her contemporary work, while
personal memories of the abstract art world wind themselves
in among the blossoms of her realistic florals and Italian
sketches.
Tregay's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries
across the country, winning 7 national prizes and 15 top regional
ones. Her articles and/or paintings appear in seven books
and numerous magazines, including Art Calendar Magazine, Watercolor
Magazine, Watercolor Magic and Artist's Magazine. In February
Tregay will have an article titled "Putting Yourself
in your Paintings" in Artist's Magazine new publication,
The Artist's Sketchbook. A resident of Buffalo NY, she is
a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and
listed in Who's Who in the East and Who's Who of American
